FOB Smart at 1800 - Wednesday
The first three members of the new PRT rotation arrived today. All hands here were excited for it represents a pending massive wave of personnel swapping and departures for home. With the remaining members of the advance team and then the larger main body, I hope warm weather continues and comes our way. Warm weather, for me, means more missions and more work outdoors. With introductions made during a staff meeting, it appears our next team of professionals will be just as lively and dependable. I have said countless times how impressed I am with today's military - they are all superstars.
I joined a mission to FOB Lagman today and was able to mail two more packages home to my son. He received three yesterday from me, including two from here and one containing new shoes ordered online for him. I spoke with him via Skype this morning, which was his last night, and he sounded and looked wonderful. We talk a lot about flying together on planes, and building houses, and going camping or on road trips. He's my good boy!
143, Kaesen.
Good night and good day.
