FOB Smart at 1800 - Thursday
The day began and ended quietly. The cold was sharp today, and will be again in the next ten or more days. Our team is full of energy though, especially with their pending departure and replacement soon. We ate well during dinner tonight - Thursdays are "Mongolian Night." Tomorrow is the end of the "normal" workweek back home, but as our weeks never end here and run continuously, I am happy nevertheless for the simplicity of marking another Friday.
Speaking of weather, as I do so very well right now, we are expecting another 8+ inches of the snow and freezing rain we have all come to embrace. Soon the hot weather will return and I am certain the prolonged discussion of that as well. So goes the life of a day-to-day philosopher. Outside of the weather, work is well, missions are slowing again, and everything is all right.
Another moment or two and I will be home. Home is so far away still - but it is in sight now and feels good for certain.
143, Kaesen.
Good night and good day.
