The following photographs were taken on Friday, 09 March 2012. The nearby Tarnak River is not as swollen as it was this time last year. The melting snow melt is less intense and the snow came earlier which has prevented much of the spring rains I am told. Images of a nearby village, a "suburb" of Qalat, include our Afghan neighbors going about their morning business. Enjoy!
