AF Day 302

FOB Smart at 0815 - Sunday

The morning is cool; the clouds have been cast across the sky as though by some hesitating hand in charge of ordering and allotting the rainwater. A bold wind is blowing outside and there seems to be little hope for the sun to blaze on at this point. We know it is out there though, the sun, lurking in these morning shadows and waiting for the right moment to pounce.

This is going to be a great day. Our official command changeover occurs today known simply as TOA, or Transfer of Authority, which involves, even here, a little pomp and circumstance. The entire process of changing out, or rotating, PRT teams is known by another acronym - RIP/TOA, or Relief in Place/Transfer of Authority. Anyway, the ceremony occurs later and the RIP process will be completed for PRT Zabul. I am proud of the outgoing commander and his team. I am also proud of the incoming commander and his team. One Team One Fight!

143, Kaesen.

Good night and good day.
