Christmas Eve in Las Cruces, New Mexico, at 0830 - Saturday
We woke up to more snow and it is snowing something fierce, well - as fierce as it could be imagined for southern New Mexico. My parents from Dallas say the white stuff is coming down in Odessa, Texas, as well and they are unable right now to travel anywhere. Christmas Day may be short a few travelers here in my brother's home, but we'll be with them in spirit anyway. Merry Christmas comes in many forms and the course of weather and life is sometimes stronger than our will to travel and be in places.
Kaesen and I played in the snow yesterday for awhile, he making snow angels and me throwing snowballs at him directly. We stayed out for as long as reasonable, and until his outer layer of clothes were beginning to soak. His cough is improving, but I wanted to be cautious, so we probably could have stayed in the snow longer, but... Today we may find a park to go play in the snow again. However, as it is snowing strong right now, the winter weather and road conditions will dictate our plans.
Jill, my wonderful sister-in-law, made Tater Tot Casserole for breakfast, the coffee is hot and the way we all like it, and our plans for today mainly include lounging, laughing, and loving. I am so very happy - and so is my son!
143, Kaesen.
Good night and good day.
