Las Cruces, New Mexico, at 2200 - Wednesday
Kaesen and I had a terrific drive from Phoenix, Arizona, to Las Cruces today. We drove on I-10 the entire way, which is not necessarily the fastest, but it is the most familiar. Kaesen enjoyed watching DVDs with the new flip-down DVD player and IR wireless headset. Interestingly enough, this is the longest road trip Kaesen has ever completed without falling asleep even once! The miracle of modern entertainment systems I presume. We stopped in Benson, Arizona, to visit with my best friend, Billy Wilson, and took less than eight hours total to make the journey here. Kaesen spoke with his momma several times today.
We are here at my brother's home and will be visiting his family, our parents, his wife's best friends from Lincoln, Nebraska, and watching for unusual snow here in southern New Mexico during the few remaining days before Christmas and Santa's big world tour! I have last-minute shopping needs to meet today and tomorrow, as well as some adult beverage tasting along the way. Happy-happy joy-joy!
143, Kaesen.
Good night and good day.
