AF Day 210

FOB Smart at 2300 - Saturday

This weekend day began and ended with me thinking of my beautiful son and enjoying photographs of him as shown below.  I spoke with him seconds ago. He and I are too excited to sleep the next six days until we see each other again. Kaesen is also excited for Christmas. He actually visited with Santa Claus today in Washington. I guess Santa was down there on a scouting mission to ensure all the chimneys and rooftops were structurally loaded and sound enough for sleigh landings.

I worked out in the frigid cold again today. Okay, maybe not frigid, and the beautiful sun was shining, and I did get hot enough to take my jacket off when I was positioning 14-foot tall concrete barriers with my crane crew, but it was chilly anyway. We finished the work we needed to absolutely finish today and we will have more of the same tomorrow. If I have not said this in awhile, I really enjoy and am appreciative of the work I do, and we do, here in Afghanistan.

143, Kaesen.

Good night and good day.
