The photographs below were taken 02 April 2012. We completed yet another combat mission outside the wire this morning into Old Qalat City. The streets were bustling with activity, including street vendors, people waiting for grain disbursements, and many, many armed Afghan policemen and soldiers. The shots below show several project sights, including the heating of tar emulsion, work on a concrete cistern, a hospital expansion, and a very colorful Afghan police building in progress. I am posing with one of my favorite new U.S. Army security forces members, SPC Boyscout, who gave me one of his nametapes. One Team One Fight. Enjoy!
