AF Day 201

FOB Smart at 0045 - Thursday

I am still awake from yesterday. I watched a movie earlier, congratulated an Air Force NCO on his promotion from Staff Sergeant to Technical Sergeant (E-5 to E-6), and conversed with a few friends. I cannot sleep for some reason right now. So I find myself here, writing a little more.

Later this morning I have several contractor appointments, including one outside the wire. I also have several internal meetings later in the day. I just know that today will be grand in every way. If I weren't so tired, I'd consider walking over to our fire pit and lighting a little fire to sit by for a little while. Well, that and if I didn't have to work today and weren't in a war zone. Such is life, right?

I have 14.97 days, or less, until I fly over 10,000 miles again!

143, Kaesen.

Good night and good day.
