FOB Smart at 2030 - Wednesday
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, but tonight I am expressing a tremendous amount of gratitude to all of my family and friends for loving me and allowing me to love you. I say this because even though I am 10,000 miles away from my son and other loved ones, I feel the love every time to speak with one of you and it warms my heart to no end. This time next year will be especially fun and filled with all of the holiday goodness I enjoy during the Thanksgiving break, but this year will be like no other. I am so immensely privileged to share this holiday with the fine young men and women here at FOB Smart. We'll share a proper roast turkey meal for dinner tomorrow evening and the day will be filled with ease and rest many.
I met with several contractors today, observed progress on the FOB expansion project of mine, met with our commander on several construction changes and issues, had a staff meeting, and shared two meals with friends in the DFAC. All in all, I'd say today was an especially nice day thanks to the spirit of the season and the welcoming family feel engendered here at FOB Smart.
143, Kaesen.
Good night and good day.
