FOB Smart at 2215 - Tuesday
Not a single thought escapes me without first thinking of my gratitude, faith, and most importantly love of and for my family, my dear wife, my dear son, and all of you whom I know support me in my endeavors here and everywhere. Thank you for being there in mind and spirit.
Today we went outside the wire to meet with a local contractor regarding a nearby project. This particular project has been the bane of the PRT's project successes in terms of contractor setbacks and construction materials selection and use. The project is seemingly progressing at the appropriate pace and use of prohibited materials has been replaced by solid questions with regard to design, intent, and implementation - which are quite the opposite from before and a welcome development for us all. We also went with a new team member who regularly deals with "folks" outside the wire - a two for one mission if you will. A good day again no doubt for us all has occurred.
Tomorrow I have more of the same planned, and the next, and so on... By my count, I have 24 days and a wake up, a pause for the cause, and I will be back in the arms of those whom I love! Bring it. Again, the hot tub, the larger bed, the accompaniment and fellowship of family, and the rest everlasting sound very nice right now.
