FOB Smart at 1130 - Saturday
Friday night back home means it is Saturday morning here 10,000 miles away. I just finished a routine mounted combat patrol to New Qalat City with some of my favorite people in the world - US Army and US Air Force SECFOR! We observed the ministerial offices and village drainage projects of mine there. All is well out in the city.
Now is time for more reporting, more administration, and deescalation of my daily preparations to combat the fatigue brought forth by this nearly 10-year conflagration. LOL.
