FOB Smart at 2230 - Wednesday
Another beautiful day here in sunny Qalat, Afghanistan, has passed and I am 100% prime time ready for bed. Missions tomorrow can wait until the Sandman makes one more visit. We did not have too much "excitement" occur this day and we experienced normal tones throughout the FOB. Life is good.
Kaesen went to school this morning (my tonight), but not before Kimberly called and I was able to hear his sweet voice. Since I watch many movies here now, I rushed to get off the phone. As the movie continued, we watch movies virtually every in my office, I realized that I needed to get up, call them back, and knew that they will always and forever be more important to me than some two hours of entertainment. I left my office and went next door to my room. It felt good, as it always does, to hear my son say, "Hi Daddy." I cannot wait to see them soon. What a perfect reward for me!
143, K&K.
Good night and good day.
